W. Cody Anderson
Widely considered a leading communicator to African-American and urban-based communities, W. Cody Anderson brings a wealth of experience and
relationships to his role as President.
Credited for building WDAS Radio into a Philadelphia powerhouse, Anderson's expertise and community focus were also the driving force behind WHAT Radio. Anderson's strategy of linking communities and businesses during his
tenure as owner and general manager of WHAT Radio is recognized as prime factor behind the station's growth in influence.
Anderson's community based programming philosophy remains the core of Philadelphia's most influential African-American talk station 900AM WURD.
Anderson's long-standing relationships with the leaders and organizations throughout the region and his expertise in community/grassroots based marketing make him a tremendous resource. In addition, his unparalleled
credibility and the respect with which he is regarded within the business, religious, political and activist communities, serve as assets for the clients which ACG serves.
Consistently listed as One of Philadelphia's Ten Most Influential African-Americans, one of Mr. Anderson's most impressive characteristics is his ability to remain concerned and accessible to community members. This

Anderson is a former member of The Pennsylvania Governor's Advisory Commission on African-American Affairs and former President of the United Black Business Association. Anderson also serves as a member of the Board of
Directors of OIC International. He served as Vice-Chair of the Strategic Planning committee of Philadelphia Mayor John F. Street's Transition Team and is an Ambassador in the Team Pennsylvania Outreach Program.
Anderson serves as a member or advisor on several community organizations including, Action AIDS and the African-American Interdenominational Ministries, Inc.
Anderson entered the broadcast industry more than 35 years ago, beginning in the Sales Department of WDAS Radio. He was promoted through several sales management positions and was eventually promoted to President and
General Manager of WDAS AM/FM.
During his tenure at WDAS, Anderson was the founder of the extremely successful Unity Day program, which has grown to one of the largest outdoor events in the country.
Anderson is a graduate of Central State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree.
